REAL MADRID v EINTRACHT 1960 EUROPEAN CUP FINAL at HAMPDEN PARK

FOR THE FIFTH TIME IN SUCCESSION, REAL MADRID WIN THE EUROPEAN CUP - EVERY YEAR SINCE IT STARTED !!

All of the goals in slow motion!!

BILL SHANKLY CALLED THIS TEAM "THE GREATEST CLUB SIDE THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN" & IT IS GENERALLY AGREED THAT THE LEGENDARY SCOTSMAN KNEW A THING OR TWO ABOUT FOOTBALL.

Real Madrid dominated the European Champions Cup (as was) winning it from its birth in 1956, to 1957, 1958

and 1959. In 1960, they introduced the phenomenal Ferenc Puskas. He and Di Stefano ran away with the game, sharing 7 goals. The Eintracht Frankfurt side was a strong one, playing creative and intelligent football, but against the 'masters' no team could compete. Hailed as 'the greatest game ever' by scores of managers and players, it was played out in front of a world record 135,000 spectators.

Enjoy an unstoppable feast of attacking football used as a training film by International Teams.

From the original BBC film. Commentary by Kenneth Wolstenholme
